360 King on Fuel Network/Surge TV
Richy Carrasco is the subject of a sports profile segment scheduled to
air on Fox’s Fuel Network. The show -- Surge TV -- airs nationwide on
Direct TV, Channel 612 – dates and times to be announced. The segment
highlights Richy’s latest Guinness World Record for 360’s on a skateboard,
his slalom racing and a little history thrown in for good measure. Produced
by Off The Rails TV this is the latest in a series of segments airing
on Surge TV this year. Way to go Richy!!

Carrasco Brothers on Telemundo
Carrasco Brothers – Richy, Rene and David were featured on Ritmo Deportido
(Sports Rhythm) – a Spanish language action-sports show airing on Telemundo.
The coverage was taped at the Nov. 2 IGSA Series Slalom event at West
LA College and included interviews and racing action – highlighted by
the Brown Bomber challenging all the young guns to “come out and race”.

John “Pope Flip” Pope at Etnies Skatepark Opening
SK8KINGS Team Rider John Pope turned out to skate the new terrain at the
Grand Opening Celebration at the Etnies Lake Forrest free park and caught
the eye of some of the local news cameras there to cover the event. Pope
was spotted in action on some of the evening news coverage later that
day. Pope says the park is cool – check it out.

360 King in Guinness World Records 2004 Edition
The record for “Most Continuous Skateboard Revolutions” set by Richy Carrasco
is listed in the latest hard cover book edition of the Guinness
World Records for 2004. The record of 142 continuous 360’s
was set on August 11, 2000 -- smashing his previous Guinness Record of
35 ½ set in 1978. It’s Official - Props to The King!

Richy Carrasco Wins IGSA California Regional Slalom Championship
Richy was named the Overall Champion of the California Regional Slalom
Series at West LA College in both the Giant and Tight Slalom Events for
the second year in a row. Richy was a three-time winner for the weekend
after taking First Place at the JPL Outlaw Race in Pasadena the day before!
Go Brown Bomber! Brothers David and Rene finished in the top 5 in the
overall IGSA
Series standings as well.

Slalom/SK8TRO on Fuel Network/Surge TV
The Fuel Network is re-airing the SK8TRO coverage of the Vision Worlds
Open/Bob Turner Memorial Slalom at La Costa 2002 and Vision Worlds Championships
Morro Bay 2002 every Saturday through Feb. 2004 at 7:30 and 10:30 EST.
Team Rider Richy Carrasco was featured racing in the top eight in three
of the four 30 minute episodes which first aired on Fox Sports Net in
Fall 2002. Great slalom coverage and great memories!

Edison Park Skate Jam #3
After two successful Jams SK8KINGS and WFSA hosted the third Skate
Jam at Edison Park in Huntington Beach.
Lots of new faces showed up for this one and a good time was had by all.

FCR World Slalom Championships – Morro Bay
The season finale with three days of racing including slalom cross, hybrid
and tight slalom events. US and European racers battled it out for the
top honors. Richy Carrasco competed Men’s Pro -- finishing in the top
ten for the season – with a podium 3rd place in the hybrid event. Brothers
Rene and David competed in the Men’s Open. FCR

SK8KINGS Demo at ASR Show
SK8KINGS Team Riders Primo and Diane Desiderio, John Pope, and Richy Carrasco
joined a host of skaters at the WFSA sponsored demo to jam and bring a
taste of flatland to the ASR crowds in San Diego.

Richy Carrasco at Inner City Games
The 360 King appeared for a skate demo and 360 spinning clinic sponsored
by WFSA and was joined by a handful of fellow racers for a demo and slalom
skate clinic for inner city youth at the Hollywood Sports Park. The weekend
included an appearance by Arnold Schwarzenegger and loads of media outlets
covering the high profile cause.

Slalom Cross on Fuel Network/Surge TV
Produced by Off The Rails TV for Fox’s Fuel Network. Bahne Cadillac Slalom
Cross – (FCR Series Race #2 taped April 12, 2003) – Event coverage of
this landmark racing event in Paso Robles, CA. SK8KINGS team rider Richy
Carrasco took 2nd place in the event and was featured with interview and
action footage in the segment airing nationwide on Direct TV. Episode
will repeat.

Slalom Racing in Switzerland
The second Euro event in the space of two weeks was held in Gruningen
Switzerland during a record-breaking heat wave. Racers from several countries
converged to make a truly international competition. Richy made a good
showing in the two day competition finishing 4th In the Giant Slalom and
5th in the Tight Slalom.

Slalom Race at Brands Hatch, England UK
Richy Carrasco ventured across the pond to race at the legendary auto
racing venue – not in a car – but on a skateboard. The UKSSA event was
held just a stone’s throw away from the high-speed autoracing and the
unique road surface “was the best ever” according to the Brown Bomber.
Richy took 2nd place for the day.

FCR Series Race #3 – Breckenridge, CO
The threat of bad weather and elevations of 10,000 feet made this a challenging
three days of racing. Richy Carrasco competed in Men’s Pro and finished
4th in Slalom Cross and tied for 5th place in the Giant and Tight Slalom
events.

IGSA Slalom Season Begins
The IGSA Regional Racing Series tight slalom opener finished with Richy
Carrasco winning first place. The IGSA Series held at West LA College
will run through November 23. Richy lead the series in points in 2002
and finished as the Overall Champion for the season. 2003 is getting off
to a great start for SK8KINGS.

Edison Park Skate Jam #2
With the first skate jam a success SK8KINGS and WFSA hosted the second
Skate Jam at Edison Park in Huntington Beach. Props to George Douville
for building amd bringing the high jump. Lynn Cooper came out from CO
and Primo Desiderio made a late afternoon arrival from San Diego but ripped
it up just the same. A good time was had by all at this cool OC venue.

San Francisco Gravity Fest Slalom Challenge
SK8KINGS co-organized this Slalom Racing event in conjunction with the
IGSA and Gravity Festival celebrating all things “downhill” in McLaren
Park, San Francisco. Great turnout, lots of generous prize product sponsors
and cash payout for the top three pro men’s winners. Richy Carrasco won
first place on this challenging and fast hill.

Crossroads Community Church Skate Demo
SK8KINGS team riders - Richy Carrasco and John Pope – were joined by George
Douville of Madrid Skateboards for a skate demo and autograph session
for the youth group at Crossroads Community Church in Lake Forrest.

Edison Park Skate Jam #1
Flatland/Freestyle was alive and well in Orange County with the first
in a series of Skate Jams at Edison Park in Huntington Beach. Lots of
great skaters live in OC and came out to be a part of the good vibe and

FCR Series Race #1 – Lake Elsinore
FCR Series season opener combined with an overall skater competition at
the adjacent skate park. Two days of racing on one of the fastest FCR
courses ever. Richy Carrasco competed Men’s Pro and tied for 5th place.
Brothers Rene and David raced Men’s Open division.
